MEETING SCHEDULE

It's been over a year since we had the opportunity to sit / stand / lie down together while sketching / photographing / painting a live model. In lieu of a "program" on this evening, bring your preferred materials for capturing the essence of a beautiful young woman in a classic white dress who will be posing for us. We will do several short "gestural" poses, then into 5 to 10 minute extended poses, and eventually probably 30-40 minutes of one sustained contortion, with a break or two for the model to revive herself.


Certainly, it is challenging to paint / draw outdoors, en plein aire, but no more so than before a living, breathing person whose image we must try to capture in fleeting moments. The same issues confront us---composition, measuring, transferring what we see onto paper or canvas, and the delightful light and dark families to keep separated! What fun! Don't be intimidated, you'll be among friends and instruction will be offered by those who've had some experience. Be brave and take the plunge! We're all on a learning journey, so let's get started now, and don't "miss the bus!"
