Sandy Hlasten is a “Southern” lady, raised in Mobile, Alabama and now residing in Columbus, Ohio.   She and her husband Tom own and operate the “clock-warehouse”, the largest clock outlet in the Midwest.

Sandy’s interest in art was influence by her Dad.  He was a self taught landscape artist and through osmosis passed his talent on to Sandy.   Her teachers include Susie Schreiber, Mary Spires, and Don Dodrill.

Various awards from Schumacher Gallery and Lancaster Festival have been her pride and joy along with the social and learning aspects of the Worthingon Area Art League, The Bexley Art League, and the Lancaster Art League, all of which she enjoys membership.

The clock business has allowed Sandy to travel through-out Europe enjoying her hobbies of skiing, shopping for antique clocks, and visiting some of the famous art museums of England and Continental Europe.

Sandy’s art medium includes contemporary water color and mixed medium, many times including clock works in a piece.
